This post would have been a lot better if it had described the specific issues with regulation that citymapper is facing, and advising how regulation could be reformed to make the process of starting a new and better transit service. As it is you just wave your hands and say “regulation sucks” a lot without seeming to recognise the benefits of ensuring transit serves everyone whether they are profitable or not. I’m very excited about the changes that citymapper can bring to buses and transit in general but reading this makes me apprehensive that it’s the kind of company that just says “but it’s innovative!” in response to every criticism.
